This instrument is hand-crafted by the maker who worked for the Beijing musical instrument factory and specilized in the Pipa-making for over 35 years, as can be found in the pictures, the backboard is made of aged redwood while the top board is of select paulownia wood to achieve its best performance, the tuning pegs are also made of redwood.
