Ask a question about this product

Made of redwood by the famous Hulusi-making master in South China's Yunnan province, this instrument is configured to maestro standard and is the perfect choice for the professional and maestro Hulusi players;

As shown from the pictures, both the wind-chest and the pipes are made of redwood;

This instrument is tunable and the pipes can be removed for maintenance and cleaning; The reason why it is configured to tunable is due to the fact that the instrument need to be adjusted when played with other instruments, but for the solo player, we just don't recommend such tunable type;

The Hulusi can be configured to key C, bB, G and F, and we recommend key C for the children as the holes' distance is relatively small, bB for the beginner and key G and F for the experienced players and professional.

Everybody that sees this instrument is stunned by how beautiful it looks and then stunned again at how amazing it sounds. I even get comments on how cool the case is. And the service was great - they tracked the package and sent me an email so I knew where my hulusi was every step of the way.

I have always loved the haunting sound of the Hulusi and this one rivals any I have heard on a recording. I got the Bb as suggested by a previous reviewer amd the sound is wonderful. In addition the instrument itself is beautiful and the workmanship excellent.

Firstly it is a beautiful instrument. The wood is excellent and the gold engraving on the gourd is stunning. The sound is very smooth and the pitch of the side pipes is spot on when they are all open together or individually. I'm new to the Hulusi, but have played other instruments for over 15years, and it is very easy to start playing. I suggest a lower key like Bb - Ross, Sydney Australia
